And Now for Something Completely Different.

OK, not completely different necessarily, but not simply Violet news as usual. I often admire our friend Amy's pictures of the beautiful sunsets and sunrises from her house, which is near ours. So I decided to give one of our cameras a run for its money and see if it could produce similarly amazing pictures. Amy's are pretty fabulous. See what you think of ours:

A few from tonight's amazing sunset. A storm has been moving through all day.

A few from yesterday's sunrise.
Sunrise over Logan from our front porch.

Another few shots from Violet's pre-birthday party in Idaho.

Violet approved of her birthday present from Mary and Cary. Thanks for thinking of her, Mary and Cary!

Violet and her cousin, Lance, saying hello.
Notice the humongous bear in the background. It is bigger than it appears in the picture, believe it or not. It really does reach the middle of the door when sitting down!

Lance giving Vi a "hug", upon request, of course:-)
Humongous bear now looks a bit closer to his real size!

Violet and Lance discussing who gets to ring the sleigh bells.

Violet. At her favorite farm, playing with her favorite farm.

Lance learned how to make his new Slinky do lots of great tricks.

Lance showing Vi how the Slinky works.

And last, but certainly not least, here is a shot of Violet's newest preferred passtime. She *loves* to unroll the toilet paper in each bathroom. Ah, the joys of parenting...

Ooooo pretty sunrise/set shots! Great clouds! You should submit them to the Cloud Appreciation Society site.
Ooooo toilet paper! Entertainment is not an advertised product feature, but I think maybe we will get Ben some for his first birthday. Very economical gift.
Another friend of ours mentioned that she used to "squish" the TP roll flat when she put it on... and that cured her baby boy of the unrolling addiction. You'll have to let me know if it works with Vi.

Julie, thanks for the suggestions! I will look into the Cloud Appreciation Society...and I will certainly be giving the toilet paper roll a "squish" today!
