We tore out much of the flooring on the main floor of our house last night, and the tile guys came in today to start putting in new slate tiles. We had to use 2x4s to walk (gingerly) over the scratch coat that was put down today so that we could reach the stairs to head up to our bedrooms. We've now been basically stranded upstairs for a few hours. And we're getting high on fumes. Now I know why the chicks (don't get any funny ideas...we have baby chickens and ducks in the house right now...) were all stumbling around and acting drunk when we got home.
Violet decided to help clean up after we tore up the flooring in the hallway. What a good sweeper!
Kokanee isn't sure he likes this new arrangement. Or the shop vac.
Violet's school now has a great big star chart. Each child gets a star for doing something nice or doing something without being told. Or for the potty-training set, for going potty by themselves and having a dry pull-up. As you can see, Violet has been doing well!
She has been doing so well, in fact, that she filled up her entire row with stars and earned a toy from the toy bag. She chose a magic wand with a jeweled crown. She's not really into the crown so much, but she LOVES the wand. It lives in the car, and keeps her busy when we're on the road.
Bunny ears also kept her busy in the car this past weekend. We went to Ogden, UT to go on our every-month-or-so Costco trip, and we also stopped at Target. Vi found these bunny ears in the super-cheapy dollar section, thank goodness. They kept her busy during our entire shopping trip and then on the way home as well!

How does orange kitty stay so bright and orange? Is she unusually careful with her things? Are photos deceptive? Did you buy 10 of them so she wouldn't ever really "loose" it?
I'm not really sure....Orange Kitty just seems to age well:-) We only have one, and I wash her (in a bag, on delicate) every few months - whenever I notice she is getting scungy. Now that you mention it, she is pretty bright, isn't she...maybe it's uranium oxide?
